I’m sharing my top three dresses for motherhood photos.
So you were gifted a motherhood photography session? Yay! *INSERT PANIC* But what do you wear?! I got you, friend! This post contains affiliate links.
Motherhood Photos
Would you believe it if I told you there was a time I didn’t even know motherhood photography sessions existed? RIGHT?! It never really occurred to me that I might want photos of just me and my girls. But oh, do I!
I just love seeing candid images of me and my girls. If you can swing it, I highly recommend investing in yearly family photo sessions AND a yearly motherhood session. And don’t you dare keep those images on a hard drive. PRINT. THEM. OUT.
The Case for the Dress
Both as a mama and a photographer, I love a good dress.
From the mom standpoint – it is a one-and-done outfit! Dresses are easiest for me to throw on and chase after the kids – no tugging my pants up, tucking shirts back in, etc.
From the photographer standpoint – dresses photograph beautifully. They create effortless movement and…they’re just a vibe y’all.
What to Look for in a Dress
- neutral or soft tones
- fit-and-flare or flowy silhouette
- midi or maxi length
