Classroom Valentine’s Day Ideas

Have you thought about doing some a little bit ‘extra’ for your child’s school Valentine’s Day party? I’m here to give you all the deets on how I made it happen with custom classroom Valentine’s Day cards from Minted

The Perfect Photo

I pulled my handy backdrop stand and seamless paper out to grab some themed photos of my girls. I used this stand and orchid Savage Seamless paper to set the scene. Don’t forget to add a few accessories from Target from the seasonal section. I grabbed some heart shaped pillows, pink and purple balloons, and a pink and red garland.

Set your photo booth in a spot with plenty of even natural light, then let the kids have fun! I tossed balloons back and forth with the girls, had them blow kisses to their friends, and twirl in their pretty outfits.

Here are some of my favorite photos from that little session:

Create Customized Cards

After picking my favorite images, I hopped over to Minted and checked out the options for custom classroom Valentine’s Day cards. I ordered classroom cards a few years ago, and I am so excited to work with them this year to create cards for both kids! Minted has a bunch of options and allows you to sort by school age, color, card shape, and even how many images you want to add to the card. There are even coordinating stickers for the card you choose! I picked the same card in different color schemes for both girls…if you have two kids close in age, you know why LOL.

Putting it all Together

Every kid loves a good treat in their Valentine’s Day bag, so I picked up some little goodies from Target. Yum Earth makes our favorite sweet treats, so I picked up a few boxes of their Valentine’s Day lollipops to attach to the cards. Sometimes you will come across some gems in the Target dollar spot, like these adorable pink unicorns! They are perfect to coordinate with the theme of our customized Minted cards!

Here are some more fun ideas to attach to your classroom cards, perfect for pre-K and Kindergardeners:

  • Dinosaur figuerines (check the Target Dollar Spot!)
  • Mini boxes of crayons
  • Mini bottles of bubbles
  • Building block sets
  • Sticker sheets
