Mandrn Atlas Review – The Best Belt Bag for Moms

I know you. You searched best belt bags for moms because SURELY we are too cool to wear a fanny pack. A belt bag sounds classier. Boujee, if you will. It is, friend. We are still cool.

Here is the best belt bag for cool moms that definitely do not wear fanny packs. This post contains affiliate links.

All About Mandrn

I’ve had my eye on Mandrn’s line of belt bags for a looooong time. Their bags are minimal, stylish, and significantly more elevated than the fanny packs of the nineties.

Mandrn’s bags are handmade by Javanese and Mexican artisans from responsibly sourced leather. I am thrilled to support a small, family-run business that prioritizes people and timeless designs over mass produced fast fashion.

There are just two options in Mandrn’s line – Remy and Atlas. The Remy bag is the original fanny pack designed to hold a minimalist’s essentials. The Atlas is a larger fanny pack that carries a bit more while still maintaining that sleek, minimalist aesthetic perfected by Mandrn’s first fanny pack iteration.

Both the Remy and Atlas are available in smooth, classic leather and a woven leather design.

No matter how hard I try, I will never be the gal that can carry a tiny bag. I picked up the Atlas in Black last month, along with the Billie Pouch.

I carry this bag every day I can get away with not having a ‘big bag’. The Atlas is the larger fanny pack offering from Mandrn, and it is significantly more roomy than I was expecting. I easily can fit my keys, cell phones (I carry two these days – personal and business), lip balm, a snack, caffeinated greens, and cards.

I cannot fit my current wallet (from Joyn) in the Atlas. It is ever-so-slightly too big. I grab my driver’s license and debit card and store them in the Billie Pouch. I also store some business cards in the Billie Pouch. The Billie pouch slides right onto the bag strap!

At some point, I’ll probably pick up this wallet from Mandrn to slip into my bag.

I’ve found that I really love using this bag at photography sessions. It pairs perfectly with my Rose Anvil dual harness, and I can use the belt to latch the camera hooks on for my longer sessions. When I shoot with both cameras, I don’t need any space for extra lenses and whatnot, so I toss an extra roll of film, a spare battery, and my keys in my Atlas, and I’m good to go!
