Hot Chocolate Holiday Charcuterie

It is time for another holiday charcuterie! Charcuterie boards are so much fun when the holidays roll around, and from November 1 until December 31, it is pretty much all Christmas, all the time. The girls had so much fun with this hot chocolate board!

Sweet or Savory?

One of the great things about the holiday season is that there are so many occasions to get together with friends and family. Having a charcuterie board is a great way to serve appetizers or snacks for your party. Depending on the atmosphere, I like to serve either a sweet or savory option. This hot chocolate board would be lots of fun for a holiday movie night, tree decorating, or even as dessert after family dinner! Savory charcuterie boards are great for snack time, appetizers at the beginning of a get-together, or as a meal substitute.

Holiday Board Theme Ideas

I got together with some Instagram friends to each create our own take on a hot chocolate board! It was fun to plan a dessert board around this cold-weather favorite. I wanted to create something primarily pink/red and white, so I paired my hot chocolate with toasted vanilla and peppermint marshmallows, strawberry biscuit cookies, and pirouette cookies! I went to Target and picked up some red mugs and festive dish towels to round off the presentation.

Other ideas for a holiday board:

  1. Apple Cider + Caramel Apple Dipping board: Apple donuts, sliced apples, caramel, crushed nuts, crushed peppermint, mini chocolate chips
  2. Holiday Breakfast board: gingerbread or tree-shaped waffles, french toast, sausage balls, fresh fruit
  3. Cookie Decorating Charcuterie: premade sugar cookies, bowls of colored icing, sprinkles, edible glitter, fondant ornaments
  4. Christmas Dessert Tray

The possibilities are truly endless! No matter what you create, watch those little hands creep in for all the yummy snacking!
